obligatory hot dog, I mean, Weiner post

Chicago loves hot dogs
OK, the blogosphere has been a buzzing last couple days about Weiner-gate.  It has nothing to do with hot dogs at all... but reading about Weiners here, there and everywhere got me nostaligic for having a hot dog!  (Chicagoans LOOOVE their hotdogs... it is a main staple food item - just like pizza!)  :)

What is Weiner-gate?  See a good round up at Frugal Cafe.  I betcha the congressman did send the lewd pix to that girl - but meant it to be private.  We'll see what happens! (get your popcorn)... Now I have to get some hotdogs for dinner.

Lesson learned:  don't send lewd pix on twitter... Ever!
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY AMERICA... GET YOUR HOT DOGSsssss, hey batter batter SWING!

The Rights of Man

The Rights of Man - from icesaint2011... hattip a commenter at iOwnTheWorld.com:

Wetas, Dolphins and Spas

8:30am and my Kiwi husband has the fireplace already going along with the small heater.  He is playing video games.  After sleeping in until 7:30am (I'm usually up around 5-5:15am weekdays), I did a few chores and logged in to check up on the world.

I received an email sent this morning from my husband with 3 links.  The first is about an area 4 hours north of Auckland in an area called the "Winterless North" - a place which will give you a night tour to see Wetas and large NZ bush spiders.  Hmm... OK, that sounds interesting.

The next link is an article about the same area, the Bay of Islands, from couple months ago January 2011 describing going out on a boat to see dolphins which gather and frolic right near the boat - and swimmers can get up close to them if brave enough to try.
Bay of Islands - Fuller's dolphin cruise

The third article is about 5 great day spas in Auckland.

One month down into our 3 month winter... and sounds like my husband is dropping hints he's ready for a warm or mini vacation get away weekend.

I'm game!  But first, time for a bit of breakfast...

Is Barry Soetoro actually Harrison J. Bounell?

Check out this document from 10-May-2011:
"Legal proof that President Obama's 'Certificate of live birth' is a forgery"

"I have irrefutably proven that the Certificate of Live Birth that President Obama presented to the world on April 27, 2011 is a fraudently created document put together using the Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator programs and the creation of this forgery of a public document constitutes a class B felony in Hawaii and multiple violations under U.S. Code sectino Title 18, Part 1, Chapater 47, Sec. 1028, and therefore an impeachable offense."

Well if Soetoro is a USURPER, he just has to be arrested - not impeached.
"When this comes to the public's attention, it will be the greatest scandal in the country's history - - nothing even comes close. This will surpass all the previous scandals including the Watergate scandal of the Nixon administration"

Check out this video from 18-May-2011:

Makes you wonder, eh?  Check out more at Conservative Patriot
More on the imposter's lack of eligibility and the forged 'certificate of live birth' at WND.com

So where can America find a county sheriff to arrest Soetoro-Bounell?  Now, that would be one happy day in my book...

game on! Sarah Palin PAC announces USA nationwide bus tour

Restoring the Good in America tour starts Sunday 29-May11

Just like the nation backed Scotty for Idol this year, America will back Sarah as 45th potus.  She is starting a "Restoring the Good in America" bus tour THIS weekend 29-May-11... and next month her movie The Undefeated will come out...  Game ON baby... she will be in it to win it... and she will win.  I have 1000% confidence in Sarah...  The leftist American media's continual attempt to slam her down has failed.  Sarah is the right person at the right time to begin the war to bring America back from the leftist seige it has been under for decades - and the sped up marxist version the last couple of years.

Conservatism, the constitution, common sense, faith in America and the awakened We.The.People will all join forces... with Sarah as our fearless warrior - to save America.  I'm getting the tingles just thinking about it...  The war will be long and hard, but the left has already showed their hand... they've thrown everything they could at Sarah in attempts to smite her ... and they have failed.  Mark my words... I visualize her announcing her candidacy at a huge, 4th of July 2011 celebration... with thousands and millions of T.E.A. party Americans to support her... She will prevail.  Contribute to or follow the tour at SarahPac.

wahoooooo!

Help Craig Busch save his cats at Injustice.co.nz
I just contributed... will you?

of course U heard Netanyahu rocked it at congress with much applause

Wow - Benjamin Netanyahu gave a GREAT speech to a joint meeting of congress with multiple standing ovations... He firmly said NOT-gonna-HAPPEN to TheWon's claims Israel should go back to 1967 borders.  Who the hell is MrUrkel to tell another leader of their own country what to do anyway?  No wonder Mr & Mrs. Teleprompter are in the UK having a big whoopdee-doo-da this week.  They didn't want to share the spotlight with Bibi - since they are frauds and Bibi is a REAL leader.  Bibi ROCKED it at congress - read a great summary from Jeffery Dunetz at Breitbart here

... and by the way:
"The Middle East “peace process” is an illusion. No one can make peace with others who is not at peace with himself – and the Arabs cannot be at peace with themselves so long as they lag so visibly far behind the rest of the world. No concessions from others can give them what would satisfy them, their own achievements and self-respect."

We The People don't need the LSM any more - GAME ON

Sarah sports a wonder woman bracelet ... love it
From Palin Promotions "The LSM hostile smear campaign against Sarah Palin has back fired. She is more powerful than ever. Supporters across the nation have been quietly meeting, strategizing, and preparing for the restoration of our Republic.

Next month in Iowa, then South Carolina, New Hampshire and Nevada; the two hour documentarty The Undefeated is set to premiere.

The two hour epic, will put to rest the LSM's smear campaign against the 20 year public service record of a Mom who joined the PTA because her kids school was screwed up.

PTA, Councilwoman, Mayor, President of Alaska Conference of Mayors, Chair of Alaska Oil, Gas Conservation Commission, Chair Interstate Oil, Gas Compact Commission, Governor, Chair National Governors Association Natural Resources Committe, Commander in Chief US Missile Defense System BN.

How much time has the LSM devoted to reporting any of these qualifications that span a 20 year public service record?

Hey, America...Guess what? WE DON'T NEED THE LSM ANYMORE!"
...correct-a-mundo!

Scott Conroy at Real Clear Politics has the scoop about The Undefeated:

Stephen K. Bannon is filmmaker... “Bannon, a former naval officer and ex-Goldman Sachs banker, sees his documentary as the first step in Palin's effort to rebuild her image in the eyes of voters who may have soured on her, yet might reconsider if old caricatures begin to fade. The film will also appeal to staunch Palin supporters who have long celebrated her biting rhetoric and conservative populism yet know little about her record in Alaska and have perhaps written her off as presidential material.”

"This film is a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment," Bannon told RealClearPolitics. "Let's have a good old-fashioned brouhaha."

RealClearPolitics was recently given an exclusive screening of a rough cut of the now finished film, which Bannon designed, in part, to help catapult Palin from the presidential afterthought she has become in the eyes of many pundits directly to the front lines of the 2012 GOP conversation.
"If she does decide to run, "The Undefeated" will be the key element to her initial coming-out party. The film's impending release -- and the frenzied media attention that it is sure to generate -- will serve as a vivid wake-up call that despite the many obstacles in front of her, Palin's entry into the race would turn the campaign on its head in an instant, just as it did in 2008.

As she mulls her decision in the coming weeks, the other Republican candidates in the field will be left to prepare for a hibernating grizzly who appears poised to rise up once again.

The Palins have just bought a lovely 2nd home in Arizona... it will be a perfect home base for a presidential campaign.

I see our warrior Sarah at a huge 4th of July celebration announcing her candicacy for potus.  America needs her now more than ever...
Why Sarah Palin?
Because Sarah Palin is the answer

hail of a weather week for Missouri

Missouri hail... see it to believe it
OK I stole that line from Jim Hoft... he's been blogging the last couple days about the tornados in Joplin, Missouri and another 21 tornado Missouri storm - which even hit his house with severe hail.  Pix above is from the St. Louis today site.

More stories at St. Louis today.

Yikes!  One wee little tornado hit us in NZ a couple of weeks ago and 1 person died.  In Joplin, last report was 125 died this past Sunday.  Prayers for the injured, dead and missing go out to Missouri and other midwestern USA states hit by tornadoes this spring.  Stay safe out there...

Nope, no conspiracy theory: "North American union" ALREADY underway

pix from Wolf Star

Did you know in Feb 2011, theUrkel and PM from Canada have officially SIGNED "continental perimeter" - a treaty for a "shared border"?!  What??

From 8-Feb-2011 TheStar "OTTAWA—The federal government deliberately kept negotiations on a border deal with Washington secret while it planned ways to massage public opinion in favour of the pact, according to a confidential communications strategy.

The 14-page public relations document recommended that talks keep a “low public profile” in the months leading up to the announcement by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama. At the same time, the government would secretly engage “stakeholders” — interested parties such as big business groups and others — in a way that respected “the confidentiality of the announcement.”

In advance, the government departments involved — including industry, foreign affairs, international trade and citizenship and immigration — were to “align supportive stakeholders to speak positively about the announcement,” according to the strategy prepared by Public Safety Minister Vic Toews’ officials."

From 4-Feb-11, the Canadian government announced "Beyond the Border: a shared vision for perimeter security and economic competitiveness" - A declaration by the Prime Minister of Canada and the President of the United States of America 4 February 2011 Washington, D.C.:

"To preserve and extend the benefits our close relationship has helped bring to Canadians and Americans alike, we intend to pursue a perimeter approach to security, working together within, at, and away from the borders of our two countries to enhance our security and accelerate the legitimate flow of people, goods, and services between our two countries. We intend to do so in partnership, and in ways that support economic competitiveness, job creation, and prosperity."

Well hold on just a gosh darned minute, have the American people agreed to "merge" with Canada?  No, right?

From WND, this "North Amercan Union" stuff is NO theory:

"The decision to declare a continental perimeter for the United States and Canada, designed to effectively combine the two nations in mutual national security and economic efforts, affirms the Obama administration's intent to implement the key objectives of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North American in a way that avoids the type of public scrutiny and criticism that dogged President George W. Bush after he openly declared his plans with the SPP.

The Obama and Harper administrations' use of a low-key methodology to pursue continental political integration was further confirmed in Canada by the Toronto Star. The paper disclosed a 14-page confidential public relations document circulated within the Canadian government that recommended the talks between Obama and Harper keep "a low profile" in the months leading to last Friday's signing of the bilateral declaration.

WND has reported since 2006 that a blueprint published in 2005 by the Council on Foreign Relations titled "Building a North America Community" called for the establishment of a common security perimeter around North America by 2010 to facilitate the free movement of people, trade and capital between the three nations of North America."

So what is the North American Union anyway and why is it BAD?

From a 2008 article by Daniel L. Cuddy: "On June 14, 2007 BankIntroductions.com told their clients that in the next 10-20 years, as the global economy moves toward regional trading blocs, the amero or "North American Monetary Unit" (NAMU) will be introduced. The power elite's plan is to form regional unions with their own currencies and then link them into a world government with one global currency. Relevant to this, Reuters reporter Emmanuel Jarry on October 23, 2007 wrote "Sarkozy (French President) Calls for Mediterranean Union Launch in 2008." And the African Union's African Central Bank plans to mint the "Gold Mandela" as a single African currency by 2010 (the date the NAU is supposed to form).

If you look at the top of the website for the Single Global Currency Association (SGCA), there is a quote by former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker, saying: "A global economy requires a global currency." The SGCA "is dedicated to the goal of implementing a single global currency by 2025...managed by a single international central bank." I have already indicated that on the cover of THE ECONOMIST (June 9, 1988) is a picture of "The Phoenix," a global currency suggested for implementation in 2018.

Whatever the date of the global currency's introduction, it will be advertised as facilitating world trade, which the power elite will control. This will be like in the days of Solomon when he fortified Gezer, Hazor and Megiddo (the Har, or Mount, of Megiddo would be called Armageddon). Through this fortification, he controlled the Via Maris and world trade, thereby controlling the world of his day. The power elite today plans to do likewise, but in a Biblical sense their plan will lead to the Battle of Armageddon."

Armageddon?  Yep, that means its BAD.  America, do you want to remain a sovereign nation? Time to get rid of ALL collectivist-communist-marxist-democrats in charge of government stuff.  Pronto...

Barnhardt explains defense of Israel by all human kind is required

I stand with Israel.
I stand with humanity.
I stand with you.

Rush Limbaugh points out Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu schooled the marxist child whiny pretend potus after his pro-evil, pro-Hamas speech this week:
"RUSH: On the day before the rapture, I am sitting here thanking God. Benjamin Netanyahu: "We cannot negotiate with a Palestinian government backed by Hamas. Hamas just attacked you, Mr. President, for getting rid of Bin Laden." Netanyahu is saying this to our young man-child president. We can't go back to the '67 borders. So you strip everything else away here, folks, and it's obvious to me who's coming off as the more serious man in that room. And I gotta tell you, I can't wait to see what the media does with Netanyahu. I can't wait to see how the media characterizes this. Will they say he showed profound disrespect, that these comments should have never been made in public. It would be fine to share these sentiments with President Obama in a private meeting, but to go public like this and to slap the president.

RUSH: History will not give… Folks, I'm gonna tell you something: Benjamin Netanyahu is lecturing Obama like a schoolchild. I cannot emphasize this enough. This was a total rebuke, and he was telling the world the facts, as plainly spoken as anyone could. There was no diplomatic lingo used here. "It's not gonna happen." "It's just not going to happen." "It falls on my shoulders as prime minister of Israel...to work with you to fashion a peace." (laughing) Fat chance we've got, working with you, because Obama's for the other side. Obama's for the Palestinians.

RUSH: It really was amazing what we saw in this hour: Benjamin Netanyahu, with so many lessons for so many people, illustrating so much what a really young amateur we have in the White House. Obama was taken to school today. The Republican Party was shown all they have to do -- and it doesn't involve shouting, and it doesn't involve pointing fingers. It just involves telling the truth. Benjamin Netanyahu was fearless. Stood up to a president that nobody to date has had the courage to stand up to, and I guarantee you the people heard this -- and when you see it, it will have double impact on you. You'll be wishing this guy could seek the Republican nomination. It was just an amazing contrast in terms of experience, status, and solid credentials. It was wonderful to see. Bibi Netanyahu.

And... American patriot Christian warrior Ann Barnhardt explains why all civilized humans need to understand human history just a bit more and that all humankind needs to:
Stand with Israel
Stand with humanity.
Stand with you.

So, have you figured out who are the real, evil hate mongers yet?

might be Kiki

Kiki as a puppy
We lost our Basenji girl Sheela about a year ago.  We mourned, got a couple new cats and are ready for a new dog now.  We have been researching breeds which would suit our lifestyle.  We've contacted a lady about an Italian Greyhound named Flynn.  He was awfully cute and we were tempted.  We've contact a Greyhound rescue organization a month ago and had a home visit from a nice lady with a beautiful tan and white boy named Gizmo. We have been approved and are on their waiting list now.  We've also spoken to a Basenji breeder a couple times this year, but weren't too keen on a puppy.

Finally, our breeder friend advised a friend of hers has a 3 year old girl named Kiki ready to rehome.  Will Kiki be ours?  She is down near Timaru which is a good 14 hour drive from Auckland.  We could fly down and arrange with Air New Zealand to take her back with us on a flight from either Dunedin or Christchurch back to Auckland.  We're investigating the costs of both driving or flying.  It might be fun to drive and site see along the way.  There is a 3 hour ferry ride from north to south island to consider as well.  The dog would have to be in a secure crate inside the car.  Do-able.

We are ready for a new dog... will it be Kiki?

why Sir Golfs-a-lot will never be re-elected

Jimmy Carter v 2.0 not going well
List of 45 reasons from commenter "#33 Agent Rose" on GatewayPundit on WHY OBAMA CAN’T BE RE-ELECTED:

1. Obama has now been vetted. He NEVER WAS vetted in 2008.
2.Gas prices have gone from $1.93 to 4.36 on his watch; when President Bush was in charge gas was $2.30 per gal.; oil production was up 20%.
3. Obamacare.
4. Waivers for Obamacare.
5. His Wisconsin friends—demonstrating and creating chaos when some of them belonged in school teaching –(“we care for the students”)–or other institutions.
6. Pigford settlement—a fraud.
7. Letting the Black Panthers off the hook from the Philadelphia show in 2008.
8. Canceling and “playing politics” with oil permits.
9. The U.S. has now lost its AAA rating.
10. The value of the dollar has declined.
11. Food stamps 1 in 7.
12. Unemployment now at 9% (Bloomberg 5/6/11) (remember Biden promised 200,000-500,000 new jobs per month!! back in 2010)
13. Inflation in many sectors including food; famously expressed by someone at a Federal Reserve show and tell, “I can’t eat an I-Pad.”
14. Cash for Clunkers.
15. The phony “stimulus”—failed $850 billion
16. How many times has Trumka visited the White House?
17. Contempt of court for the oil permits in the Gulf and Obamacare.
18. The seizure of GM and Chrysler, transferring bondholder wealth to unions—otherwise known as seizure of private property
19. The shutdown of Shell’s Arctic oil exploration by EPA (a regulatory KGB)
20. Dodd-Frank.
21. Hostility toward Israel.
22. His push for unconstitutional restrictions on free speech via the FCC.
23. The NLRB’s fight against Boeing.
24. the Czars.
25. Failure to resume full water deliveries to California’s central valley because of the DELTA SMELT. Can we shout that out each time the unemployment numbers come up? What has this alone done to unemployment in California?
26. Attempts to try the terrorists in civilian New York City trials.
27. Takeover of the student loan program.
28. Attack on Arizona for exercising state’s exercise of legislative authority on citizen identification rules.
29. Failure to secure the southern border (Al Queda now has a group located in Mexico)
30. The war on Libya.
31. His latest attack on free speech via the regulation to disclose contributions with government contractors. Even Mitch McConnell has called this “Gangster Politics” (see Strassel WSJ 5/6/11)
32. His general loathing of Americans.
33. Fort Hood
34. The proposed new gas mileage tax!
35. His utter hypocrisy when, e.g. with Osama when he totally voted AGAINST the war, Guantanamo, renditions, etc etc etc
36. Driving up health care costs for everyone—even before Obamacare
37. “Bailing out” his billionare friends in the financial markets, at GE, etc.
38. Breaking campaign promise of transparency
39. Humiliating millions of Americans traveling through airports with sexual harassment tactics
40. Inciting racism through ignorant comments and the “Beer Summit”
41. Eased the restrictions on stem cell research. The feeble-minded half-wits in the state of Cali passed a bond measure that has devoted $3 billion dollars to this research…result? NOTHING! So this is an announcement that we are going to waste more billions on NOTHING just to show those stupid Christians what we think about their concern for so-called ‘human lives’
42. $14.6 Trillion in debt
43. $1.5 Trillion in NEW debt from 2012 budget
44. GDP 1.5% growth
45. Revealing information about every Trident missile the US supplies to Britain as part of an arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week.

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” Winston Churchill

farmers using oxen instead of tractors solves nothing

USA farming with oxen circa 1930s
Democrats admit their "Gas Bill" Will Not Cut Gas Prices and gas prices are high because the liberals want it that way...

Did you know some in the USA (eg Wisconsin, New England area) are now ditching their expensive tractors, because of high fuel costs, to go back to using oxen.

mmmmm-kay

Does that seem like slightly backwards-ass-progress to you or hip-greenie-forward-thinking?

Sure, couple of oxen might be cheaper, but not if you count time and effort.  Oxen are not faster or easier. In the USA alone, there are some 300,000,000 million people to FEED.

How would it EVER be practical for large farms to plow thousands upon thousands of acres ONLY with oxen? It might be do-able if you employed a hundred thousand people and a few hundred thousand oxen. But, um, wouldn't that lead to a lot vet bills? Animal abuse? Lots of dung and oxen farts? OH NOES: farting would mean an increase in lefty-dreaded C02 emissions?!

OK, nope, we can all agree this is not practical at all. But lets suspend reality for a minute and let's say all American farmers had to turn to oxen instead... perhaps by government mandate.

Then what?

Would everything be oxen 'n' rainbows (instead of unicorns) and hunky-dory easy-peasy? (rrrrright...)

What if the government decided, in its collectivist rule, to then regulate all oxen related farm activity?  (... I can of course see thousands of working-animal rallies spanning the nation promoting fair animal-rights or oxen unions even!  but don't call them "pets" of course, only companion animals or working animals... err... or something like that...)

I suggest a very imporant lesson in historial farming under an oppressive regime should be remembered by what happened in the Ukraine some 785 years ago.

REMINDER: collectivism policies = communism. Communism = leads to death of millions.

Check out a 2008 post at Ukraine Analysis discusses the 75 year anniversary of the Ukraine famine - Genocide or not, Stalin starved millions to death and Soviet regime concealed for 54 years:

"Many governments, including those of Canada and the United States, have recognized the famine as an act of genocide by Stalin’s regime against Ukrainians."

"... in his acclaimed 2007 book on life under Stalin, The Whisperers, British historian Orlando Figes writes that the Soviet regime “was undoubtedly to blame for the famine. But its policies did not amount to a campaign of ‘terror-famine,’ let alone of genocide … ” Harvard University’s Terry Martin and the University of Amsterdam’s Michael Ellman have expressed the same opinion.

We may never know how many died of starvation in 1932-33. Yushchenko and others speak of 10 million, or about a third of the population of Ukraine. However, more reliable estimates in Ukraine and elsewhere suggest that the death toll was three to five million, still a truly staggering figure."

"... the Soviet regime began rapidly to collectivize farms starting in 1929. Ukraine was among the first republics to be collectivized. In Kazakhstan, a third of the peasantry (about one million people) died by 1931. Stalin’s goal was “to liquidate the kulaks (rich peasants) as a class.” Many so designated destroyed their livestock rather than give it up to the new collective farms. The countryside became a war zone in which millions were dispossessed, with many deported to Siberia or the Far North.

After collectivization, state grain quotas were imposed on the farms. Grain was taken before the farmers could feed themselves and their families, and quotas were raised sharply in Ukraine, despite a poor harvest in 1931 in particular. Stalin, who used the grain to feed the growing urban population as well as the Red Army, appointed Extraordinary Grain Commissions in several regions. Vyacheslav Molotov led the one in Ukraine. When the grain ran out, Molotov demanded that the commissions take all food from the villages, which were stripped bare as though a plague of locusts had descended on them."

"The link between the Ukrainian famine and external events is clear. In January 1933, Hitler had come to power in Germany, adding another dire threat to Stalin’s regime. Ukrainian nationalists, Poles, Hitler and Stalin’s chief enemy, Leon Trotsky, all feature in Stalin’s correspondence and party documents as threats to Soviet security.

Whether or not this catastrophe was premeditated – and we may never find a “smoking gun’’ – Stalin, Molotov and other Soviet leaders deliberately starved their own people and then concealed this atrocity from the outside world."

alligators and piranhas might just slow 'em up at the border

Would fully stocking the Rio Grande river (along the USA and Mexico boarder) with Alligators and Piranhas help stop the tide of illegal aliens crossing? Just a question...
Florida alligator
... it might slow them down a bit... ya think?
image from swimming with piranhas in Venezuela
In Texas today, president McSmarty-pants, sir golfs-a-lot, catering to the Mexicans, the all-knowing campaigner-in-chief spoke to an El Paso audience: "In search of Hispanic votes and an immigration overhaul, President Barack Obama on Tuesday stood at the U.S.-Mexico border for the first time since winning the White House and declared it more secure than ever. He mocked Republican lawmakers for blocking immigration over border security alone, saying they won’t be happy until they get a moat with alligators along the border." (from Gateway Pundit)  Well the Rio Grande is pretty long... I don't think we need an actual moat, do you?
Rio Grande River
From Yahoo story "Obama mocks Republican position on immigration": "The president made his pitch in a state he lost by more than 10 percentage points in 2008 and is unlikely to pick up in 2012. But Hispanic voters are critical to the president's re-election. Latinos accounted for more than 7 percent of voters in the 2008 presidential election, according to the Pew Hispanic Center, and their numbers are greater in certain swing states like Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado and Florida.

The trip had a more overtly political component, too: From El Paso the president headed to the relatively liberal bastion of Austin to raise money for the Democratic National Committee at two events Tuesday night.

The president wasn't able to get immigration legislation through Congress last year that would have provided a route to legal status for college students and others who were brought to the country as children. The so-called DREAM Act passed the House, then controlled by Democrats, but was blocked by Senate Republicans.

The Senate is now even more heavily Republican, and Republicans control the House. That means immigration reform can't happen unless they cooperate. Nonetheless, Senate Democrats plan to reintroduce the DREAM Act on Wednesday, with their counterparts in the House following suit. Given Republican opposition the bills likely won't get far, but Obama will try to make certain voters know who to blame."  The Yahoo story has some GREAT comments on it... mostly from pissed off Americans... Here is just a sampling from over 46,000 comments (think this topic riles people up?  oh... just perhaps!):

"Reform isn't necessary - enforcing our existing laws is."

"We have really hit rock bottom in this country....When did we start rewarded illegal activity? Where is the Dream for us doing the right thing?"

"We do not need new laws, we need our government to enforce the laws we have on the books now."
"The immigration system isn't broken. It just isn't being enforced."
"With this short press release, I think Obama is cooking up yet another sneak attack on the American people. As the release says, he plans to discuss the importance of fixing the nation's "broken immigration system". Translation: He's going to let all the illegals in, force us taxpayers to fund their education, housing and care so he can secure another 15 million votes. What a POS!"

eat this bullet, praise allah or whatever

Did the USL kill bullet have "allahu akbar" written on it?

From a hilarious column at Pajamas Media "Don’t Worry: Osama Was Shot in Accordance with Islamic Tradition - Frank J. Fleming knows the very first thing that went through your mind when you heard of bin Laden's death: were all the religious niceties observed?"

So far, no USL death pictures 'officially' put out by a&&hats at the White House. They will be forthcoming I'm sure. Why did USL get a burial at sea "according to islamic tradition"? What the F is that all about anyway?

From Fleming's article "...everyone involved was very careful to handle his dead body in accordance with Islamic tradition...as best they could. I mean, there were a few minor bumps along the way, like when the body kinda sorta got dragged off by wild dogs. That happens. No one is perfect..." HA HA HA HA!

With all the nincompoopness going on in the White House, this article is a great laugh. Americans are the most respectful AND tolerant people ALREADY on the planet. It is ISLAM that is NON tolerant of, oh just about ANYTHING! Women: can't have an intact clitoris, nope, that's gotta go. You are gay? Sorry, can't allow that, you must be killed. Married woman talking to non-relative? Nope, no can do - stoning for you. Daughter wants to leave Islam? No WAY! She must be beheaded for THAT! Who cares if you raised her for 15, 16, 17 years... she doesn't like Islam? DEATH for HER!

Sorry, I digress... perhaps you get my point. More from Fleming "I know some of you are concerned about when the Navy SEALs raided Osama’s compound, whether he was then shot in the face in accordance with Islamic tradition. Well, don’t worry; he absolutely was. The very last thing anyone wanted was for Osama to think while he was being killed, “They’re doing this to me because I’m Muslim!” Because, again, that would definitely not be true. So great care was taken, and he was shot in the face in a religiously respectful way."

Thanks for the laughs Mr. Fleming, but nope, don't much care about that bit... Just glad it was done. Read the rest here.

Justice = served.

welcome to hell Usama (or is it Osama? who cares)

some humor (truth?) from Hell pizza's Facebook page

... & for the record - they make excellent pizza! ...

Freedom fighter Pamela Geller explains while America deserves to celebrate the killing of the mass murderer known as USL - he was merely yesterday's man. She asks "Why now? Why did Pakistan allow this to happen after years of sheltering bin Laden? What did Barack Obama have to give up to the Pakistanis in order to make this campaign-bolstering deal for Osama bin Laden? Amid all the celebrations, there is something worrisome about the death of Osama bin Laden – and that is what we don’t know about it.

Finally, insofar as the bigger picture goes, Osama bin Laden was yesterday’s man. The global jihad rages on. The Muslim Brotherhood is far more dangerous than al-Qaeda in its ability to impose Islamic law over the Middle East and to assert it in the West. It has infiltrated the senior levels of our government in ways that al-Qaeda never could. Obama’s exclusive focus on al-Qaeda ignores all the other Islamic supremacist groups that are working around the world, and in the United States, right now. Obama’s Department of Justice is scuttling the prosecutions of Islamic supremacist leaders such as Omar Ahmad of Hamas-tied CAIR. His Treasury Department has given seminars in Sharia finance.

Killing bin Laden won’t solve those problems. Nor will it make the global jihad go away."
Great point Pam.

Oh, by the way, everyone is thanking George W. Bush for a successful manhunt leading to the USL killing, right? Didn't GWB coin the phrase the "war on terror"? The current commie-regime in Washington doesn't use that phrase any more - - officially!

AWR Hawkins points out "...George W. Bush deserves our gratitude for refusing to back down when the war was unpopular. He merits all the honor we can bestow upon him for not giving in when he was called every name in the book and openly slandered by MSM personalities. He is to be commended for standing with our troops when Democrats (like Obama) threatened to cut their funding, and for staying out of the limelight when our troops achieved great things (like capturing Saddam Hussein), because he wanted the troops to have the honor. (Obama, on the other hand, can’t wait to tell us what he authorized, decided, etc.)

Thank God for George W. Bush: the man who possessed the fortitude to make certain the people “who knocked [those] buildings down [have heard from] all of us [now].”

Thank you for your steadfast efforts President Bush.

From Peter Heck at AT "We did not waver, we did not tire, we did not falter...and we did not fail.
After nearly a decade of spent American blood, sweat and treasure in an arduous struggle against those who perpetrated the most brazen and dastardly attack on the American homeland in our nation's history, the United States military has struck its most significant blow. Osama bin Laden is dead."

VDHanson - nope, no USA decline

America is joyful today after hearing Usama Bin Laden was finally killed. THANK YOU TO PRESIDENT BUSH and the USA military for their perseverance in tracking, finally locating this terrorist and putting him out of the world's misery.

Earlier today I read an uplifting article by Victor Davis Hanson. He points out America is NOT in "decline" even though people in Washington seem to want that to be the case.

They will all get voted out. America will recover and be all she can be... once again. From the VDH article:

"A recent report in The New Yorker suggested that the Obama’s administration’s weird sort of/sort of not foreign policy is now gleefully self-described as “leading from behind.” Not exercising leadership is a reflection, the article suggests, of Obama’s view that the U.S. is both disliked and in decline. Decline?"

"President Obama, listen carefully. By every benchmark, this should be an American century. Our known fossil fuel reserves are soaring, as new finds of coal, natural gas, oil, tar sands, and oil shale keep growing, not shrinking. Demographically, we are expanding; Europe, Japan, and China are shrinking.

We do not have the strikes of Europe, the violence of the Middle East, the state oppression of China. India has religious, social, and caste tensions unknown in the U.S. American farmland is the most productive in the world, its farmers the most gifted and innovative. We inherited a vast, developed infrastructure; out duty is to improve and expand it, not, as our ancestors had to, start from scratch building a Hoover Dam, intercontinental railroad, or port facilities in Oakland.

I remember growing up in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and the sheer amount of wealth creation since then staggers the imagination. I recall my parents taking me in 1962 to a dinner at a judge’s “mansion”: it was a 2000 sq. ft. ranch house in north Fresno — with three, repeat three, bathrooms — an unheard of thing at that time — and a 15-foot kidney shaped swimming pool to boot! The sort of elite home that is solidly now middle class.

iPhones, Facebook, and Microsoft are culturally U.S. to the core; construction, computers, oil drilling, and refining are still American premier sciences. For all the talk of China, it would take the Chinese thirty years to acquire the expertise to launch and employ 10 effective carrier groups. To the degree an India or China is successful, it is because of emulation of the West, and the United States in particular. When I have my solo lunches in the new courtyard at the Stanford Business School, I stare at the number of foreigners networking in this global training station, where the world’s elites flock to shell out tens of thousands for the expertise and signature degree.

We see in the misadventure in Libya what the Europeans do without the U.S. military. Japan’s dense population and centralized mode of transportation, housing, and industry make it serially vulnerable to natural disasters in a way a dispersed, decentralized, and huge America is not. Our poor suffer far more from obesity than malnutrition; diabetes and clogged arteries, not scurvy and rickets, are the plagues of the underclass. Is driving a Kia that much less comfortable than a Mercedes, is hot water in Trump Towers hotter than a mile from my house in federally subsidized apartments? Does a middle seat on a 737 mean you are tortured and exploited while the “rich” zoom by in a Gulfstream? My local Wal-Mart parking lot yesterday in Selma — poorest section of one of the poorest counties in the most bankrupt state in America — had 3 BMWs, 3 Mercedes, 1 Jaguar, 2 Metros, 16 Camrys, 13 Accords, 21 newer double-cab pickups, and lots of late-model Civics, Nissans, and Kias among 82 cars. I counted them for this article; my statistically “poor” town did not look like Dickensian London. Wealth has been distributed to millions in a way once thought impossible. When did driving a Civic make you poor because someone else was driving a BMW, or why was living in a downtown Fresno condo unfair if someone else had one about the same size and with the same accoutrements in Santa Monica with a view of the ocean?

I could go on, so why does Mr. Obama see us in decline? Is it a wish rather than a descriptive assessment?"

GREAT article. Read the rest here. She may be slightly 'down' and getting a good kick in the guts by communists in charge 'o' stuff... but in no way is America out.

USA to a dead Bin Laden -> don't tread on me
